What do you Know About Applied Kinesiology?

Not only do I know what it is, I have been able to use it as one of my principal health maintenance modes since 1976. This week after a session with Dr. Josh Stevens, I had a deep sense of calm, as if all of my cells had relaxed and surrendered to a calm sense of support from the ground. My balance improved, my legs were stronger, and my pain was less.

How I began with the Alexander Technique

Without a problem to solve or an injury to heal, my encounter with the Alexander Technique led to a transformation in my young woman’s view of how I could live my life and pursue my art. We often hear stories of the relief someone has finally found with their first Alexander Technique lesson. There are […]

Eight Lessons from Covid Quarantine in a Foreign Country

Just after Thanksgiving my husband and I took a wonderful trip to visit family and grandchildren in Geneva, Switzerland. The 18-day trip got a little longer (24 days) when we discovered our son-in-law had covid-19 on day 10.

I’m alive, I’m well, I’m different and I am the same. I have cocooned and reformed. Quiet, patient, enduring, curious, relieved and grateful. Ten days ago, I was plucking fuzzy […]

Vertigo

Last week vertigo came back.  I had ten days of vertigo once I got home from the hospital in October. Good news is it’s now gone and I feel even stronger and freer this week. Here is some of what I’ve done to ease the dizziness and nausea. First thing I pay attention to is keeping […]

Breathe to Heal

The more I have researched ways to recover from trauma, surgery, and anesthesia the more I have come to appreciate my long term training and practice of breathing. From the first moment that I began to wake up from surgery I began to breathe with conscious direction.  For years I have used conscious breathing […]

Healing with Energy Work

Reorganizing and unifying of my body and mind is now coming through my work with several energy healers. I am more and more myself and feeling clearer and strong (with added insights about doing less etc.)  On Saturday Nov 7 Renee Jackson stayed overnight and did three sessions in the pathways to healing nervous system […]
