More Space to Breathe

I had a great session working with Vicky Saye Henderson.  She was so clear when she said that she had more space to breathe because she was no longer doing all the physical stuff the character did.  She was still connected to the character but with lots more space.

That’s what I’m looking for in an actor.  I want to believe in the character, be emotionally moved by them, and empathize with what the character is going through.  At the same time, by using the Alexander Technique, together we can find freedom and creative space for the actor’s work.  Then the audience gets a whole lot more.  Watch the video.
