Healing, Patience, and Gratitude

My New DooI’m 20 days out from a craniotomy that has turned my life in a new direction. A young man on a skateboard plowed me down on a sidewalk but it took 12 days for the internal bleeding to show up.  Modern medicine, a great surgeon and super nurses have pulled me through.  Now I hurry up and wait, minute by minute, hour by hour, finding new reserves of patience and gratitude.   The brain heals in a mysterious and indirect path—unlike anything else I have ever experienced.

Daily I discover the many sources of healing wisdom I have received over the past 40 years and I am immensely happy I have so much to draw on.  Even more the community of people world wide around me that are sending me love and healing and care are making this path a little easier – not to mention my cool new hair-doo.

Stay in touch everyone and I will share my healing journey with you.  Writing is hard but not impossible so I’ll send out thoughts when I can.
